Description of the switching mode of ABB SUE3000

      The ABB SUE3000 Quick-cutting device has a variety of switching modes, including fast switching, first in-phase switching, residual voltage 

switching and delay switching. Fast switching is its main and commonly used mode. At the moment of switching start, if the phase Angle 

difference and frequency difference between the main feeder and the standby feeder are within a certain value range, the fast switching 

device will synchronously issue the switching command of the circuit breaker to achieve current-free switching, usually within a few 

milliseconds. For example, according to the typical fast switching oscillogram provided by ABB, the no-current switching time is about 

10-20ms. The first in-phase switch is used when the synchronization condition is not met at the start moment. After the faulty feeder is 

opened, the bus voltage vector rotates around the standby feeder voltage vector, and the closing command is issued when the voltage 

difference between the standby feeder and the bus reaches the minimum value for the first time. Residual voltage switching is used when 

the first in-phase switching is not available, and the standby feeder is closed when the bus voltage drops to a sufficiently low residual voltage 

value. Delay switching is the last choice when other switching conditions are not satisfied.
