• Ethernet communication: With 10Mbps or 100Mbps Ethernet communication capability, through the front end of the RJ-45 connector (10/100Mbps copper Ethernet connection) to achieve connection to Ethernet devices. It can be connected to an Ethernet switch or hub, and can communicate with one external device or up to 64 external devices, providing a high-speed, stable data transmission channel between field devices and the control system.

• Redundancy configuration: The combination of a pair of FBM233 modules provides redundancy at the field bus module (FBM) level. One of them acts as the master station and the other is the tracking module. The input point on the control station receives device input point updates from the network connected to the master station, and the device output point (depending on the I/O driver) is written by both the master module and the tracking module. If the I/O driver detects a problem (for example, the device loses heartbeat), it automatically switches roles. Users can also use the SMDH to switch roles at any time, improving system reliability and stability.

• Flexible configuration and extensibility: XML-based port and device profiles can be set up through the FDCI configurator. The port configurator makes it easy to set communication parameters for each port, such as Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), IP address, etc. When needed, the device configurator can also configure device-specific and point-specific parameters, such as the scan rate, the address at which the data is to be transferred, and the amount of data to be transferred in a single transaction.
