GE IS215WEMAH1A is the main frequency converter control module for wind turbines. It uses an 8349.667MHz processor and is equipped with the QNX operating system. This module plays a critical role in the wind turbine control system and has powerful control and communication functions. Each controller has three 100MB Ethernet drivers for IONet, allowing each controller to communicate with up to three network switches. In redundant systems, it can directly monitor redundant inputs and compare potential differences. In addition, the controller also has two Ethernet drivers for controlling network communication, which can communicate point-to-point with other Mark VI, Mark VIe, and EX2100 generator excitation controls, as well as operators and maintenance stations. The controller and I/O pack communicate through an internal IONet, which is a 100MB Ethernet network with optional non redundant, dual redundant, and triple redundant configurations. Ethernet Global Data (EGD) and other protocols are used for communication, with EGD based on the UDP/IP standard.

Installation method of GE IS215WEMAH1A

The controller is a single board installed on the base of the cabinet. For dual and triple redundant systems, the second and third boards can be installed adjacent to each other to form a compact packaging arrangement. Installation must be carried out according to local wiring, and the main power line disconnected through external circuit breakers or switches must be installed near the unit. This switch or circuit breaker must comply with local wiring regulations. During the installation process, it is important to verify the AC power supply voltage and ensure that the power supply voltage displayed on the left side of the I/O unit matches the values on the test certificate and data sheet. In addition, the Hydran 201i includes a 50/60Hz single-phase power supply that can accommodate 115/230V AC power (factory settings), with a maximum rated power of 475VA. Hydran 201i with 10A to 15A circuits that meet these requirements must be installed according to local wiring regulations during installation.
