HIMA recommends using redundant operations (default) to take advantage of HIMax system availability. The module has the following functions: establish the connection between modules. The module has passed T → V certification and is applicable to safety-related applications up to SIL 3 (IEC 61508, IEC 61511 and IEC 62061). 4 (EN 954-1) and PL e (EN ISO 13849-1).
For more information about the standard, refer to the HIMax Safety Manual (HI 801 003 E) for testing and certification of modules and HIMax systems. 3.1 Safety function This module transmits data through safety-related protocols. 3.1.1 Response in case of failure If the system bus fails, the redundant system shall ensure that the bus is connected to the bus, provided that both system buses have been preconfigured. 3.2 Scope of supply The module must be installed on a suitable connector board to operate. The connector board of the system bus module is integrated in the base plate and included in the scope of delivery. Please refer to Chapter 3.6.
