GE IS420ESWBH2A Network Switch Mark VIe Module is a non-managed Ethernet switch commonly used in GE Mark VIe Speedtronic systems. It plays a very important role in automation system control.

The IS420ESWBH2A is a non-managed Ethernet switch commonly used in GE's Mark VIe Speedtronic systems. This is a control and management system for industrial water turbine, gas turbine and steam turbine systems, from individual turbines to the entire plant.

The device has 16 ports that support 10/100 BASE TX. Two of the ports also support 100BASE FX connectivity (LC type).

In some cases, ESWB switches may experience a power drop or voltage plunge that causes them to restart incorrectly or fail to re-establish a communication link with the system. If this happens, be aware that your switch may not restart properly even if the voltage returns to normal. See Volume II of GEH-6721 for information on how to find and correct this error.

IS420ESWBH2A is usually installed in new applications using DIN rails. It can be mounted parallel to or perpendicular to the guide rail. However, the device can also be panel mounted and provides mounting holes for this application.

The IS420ESWBH2A is designed as a single unit to improve space utilization. The exterior frame of the device has been marked with the GE logo. All ports are numbered. There is an LED legend on the side panel of the device.
