DS200AAHAG1ADC Technical Specifications

Product Description

The DS200AAHAG1ADC Mark V printed circuit board functions as an ARCNET connection PCB.  The unit was originally designed as part of the LM series, which is part of the Mark V Speedtronic series from General Electric.  This series has been used for many years for the control and management of industrial turbine systems.

The DS200AAHAG1ADC allows for interfacing between externally placed modules or I/O cores with the <R> Control Engine.   The board is used to interface these units with ARCNET communications protocols.    This board is used in conjunction with a UCPB board that contains a 486DX processor/CPU  and a UCIA motherboard that contains a 196 processor chip.  This chip is used to translate pressure transducer signals.

The DS200AAHAG1ADC includes multiple BNC connectors.  These are used to download files to the Control Engine, typically occuring at a rate of 100 Hz or 10 ms. The board, common abbreviated to AAHA, includes other connectors as well.  The AAHA includes an APL ArcNet communication link and a 2PL connector that is used to distribute power from the TCPS board in the <R> core. Other connectors on the board like the EPL and EBNC are usually left unused. The board is marked with the General Electric logo.  It also includes its ID marking and codes that will help the user with positioning and wiring.  Most of the board’s components are marked with reference designations.  The board’s two relays include relay diagrams directly on top of them and clearly visible to the installing or troubleshooting engineer or technician.

More information about the DS200AAHAG1ADC board can be sourced from original GE manuals and user guides such as the GEH-6353B.
