Product Description
The GE Cell State Sensor Board DS200CSSAG1 contains two 40-pin connectors and is 4 inches in height and 11 inches in width. It also contains one 4-pin connector and one 9-pin connector. The two 40-pin connectors on the GE Cell State Sensor Board DS200CSSAG1 are connected to ribbon cables that require you to follow guidelines concerning how the cables are connected and unconnected. The ribbon cables are made up of multiple fine wires that carry control signals to and from the components and other boards in the drive. The fine wires are easily pulled out of the connector or broken and the performance of the drive will be comprised if a signal is lost.
To avoid that condition, always pull the ribbon cable out by holding the connector portion of the cable only. If you attempt to pull the ribbon portion of the cable, it might put pressure on the connection and pull out the fine wires. To install the ribbon cable, place your hand only on the connector and gently insert the cable into the connector on the board.
The board is shipped to you in a protective bag which prevents static electricity from building up on the board and so it is best practice to keep the board in the bag until it is ready to be installed in the drive. It is best practice to leave the board in the box and put it aside until you need it. Other individuals who otherwise have access to it might not know the proper handling instructions.
