Product Description
The DC Power and Instrument Board DS200DCVAG2A is part of the Mark V Series produced by General Electric. This board is primarily used with turbine control systems, these systems have the capability to be fully programmed. This board has online maintenance, built-in diagnostics, and a common hardware platform that allows for this board to be used with steam and gas applications. The built-in diagnostics for this board include background, power-up, and manually initiated diagnostic routines. All of the routines of this board have the ability to identify sensor, output device, and control panel faults.
The DS200DCVAG2A board also has inputs and outputs which are designed for direct interfacing with the following generator and turbine devices, some of these devices are thermocouples, servos, and LVDT/Rs, as well as magnetic speed pickups. All of the contact inputs on this board are optically isolated and will receive a time stamp within one millisecond of a status change within the system. There are internally powered outputs which are also known as solenoid outputs.
There are several ungrounded thermocouple types on the DS200DCVAG2A board, each thermocouple has an RTD type, for example, the K thermocouple is an RTD of 120 Ω nickel. The thermocouples and RTDs are used with linearization for various sensor types. All information regarding this board can be found in the GEI-100460 Speedtronic Mark V Product Description Manual. There are other General Electric publications and manuals that can also be used when operating the DCVA board in a Mark V System.
