Product Description
The GE DOS DUP Processor Board DS200DMCBG1AFD contains three 26-pin connectors, one 40-pin connector, and 19 jumpers. The board also has 2 LEDs. The board is engineered with six holes used for attaching screws to the rack inside the board cabinet. The board is sized to align with the holes in the rack and you can use the screws you remove from the old board to attach the replacement board. The servicer must have a screwdriver on hand before beginning the procedure.
All power must be removed from the drive and other guidelines must be followed to ensure the safety of the servicers and all others in the area. Inspect the floor in the area around the drive and notice any wetness on the floor and make sure the floor is dry before starting. Moisture conducts electricity which might cause a safety hazard. Look for power cords that are ungrounded and remove them from the area also. Only grounded cords should be present because they present less of a electrical safety condition.
It is always a policy to know the location of the emergency shut off devices in the immediate area that will shut off power to the drive. In the event of an emergency during the replacement, knowing how to use the shutoff might prevent an electric shock or electric burn, or damage to devices and components. If necessary, consult with an electrician or someone who is knowledgeable about the installation of the drive and the power supply cabling.
