Product Description
The GE Field Supply Amplifier Board DS200FSAAG2A features 5 jumpers, one 10-pin connector, and two fuses. It is also populated with multiple test points. The fuses on the GE Field Supply Amplifier Board DS200FSAAG2A are rated as 600 volts and 30 amps each and are replaceable. If you suspect that the board is not operational, before you decide to replace the board, inspect the fuses and verify that one or both of the fuses are blown. That can happen if too much current is supplied to the board. The fuses are engineered to protect the board by preventing the jolt of high voltage from damaging the components on the board and other components in the drive.
Consider that it is good policy to keep on hand a supply of replacement fuses for use in the event that the fuses blow. Make sure you only replace the fuses with fuses with the same rating. Many fuses have printed on them the rating specifications you need to know. You can also review the information supplied with the board that came from the factory. It will have the rating for the fuses, along with a description of the jumper and installation instructions.
No power can reside in the board when you replace the fuses. So remove power from the drive first. The fuses are retained in clips that both connect the fuses to voltage and secure the fuses in place. With one hand pull on the fuse to remove it from the clip and use the other hand to steady the board to reduce the stress on the board.
