Product Description
The GE High Voltage Gate Interface Board DS200FHVAG2A is an interface between the SCR bridge and the LCI power converter and also provides cell monitoring functions to the LCI power converter. The DS200FHVAG2A board is not populated with serviceable parts. If you determine the board is defective the only option you have to order a new board, or call for service. The board must be installed by a servicer that knows how to work around high-voltage equipment. There is a risk of injury, electrical burns, electrical shock, and death from improper procedures. Additionally, there is risk of injury from the powerful moving parts in the drive or other equipment in a manufacturing site.
There are a number of actions you can take on your own to troubleshoot the board. You can view the indicator light on the board. If the red light is on, it means the power bridge is on and it means the power blocking voltage is present in the board. You can view the board while the drive is operating by locating the board. However, due to the very high energy present in the board, you can not touch the board or other drive components.
To remove the fiber optic cables from the board, pull the latch on the cable connector. Care must be taken to avoid pulling the cable from fiber optic cable. Only pull from the connector to avoid damage to the cable.
Lock washers are included in the hardware assembly that secures the board in the drive. Do not allow the metal lock washers to fall in the drive and get lost.
