Product Description
The GE Common DC Bus Regenerative Board DS200GSIAG1ABA contains three 40-pin connectors, two 16-pin connectors, and 6 jumpers. The board also has 1 8-pin connector, and multiple test points. All the connectors are keyed so that the cable can only be attached one way. That is, you cannot plug the cable in upside down. The 40-pin connectors and 16-pin connectors are typically attached to ribbon cables which require some consideration due to the fact that they are prone to damage. When you disconnect a ribbon cable use one hand to hold tightly to the plastic connector and use the other hand to keep the board itself from moving. Pull the ribbon cable out from the connector on the board. If you pull the cable out by holding the ribbon portion of the cable, it puts stress on the connector and might cause the fine wires to separate from the plastic connector.
The board features 6 jumpers that enable the user to configure the board for the processing needs of the site. You can use the manuals that came with the original board from the factory to learn more about to the processing options that the jumpers define. Some of the jumpers are not for defining processing requirements but instead are only for use during manufacturing. However, when you are replacing a board, inspect the old board and note how the jumpers are set. Use the jumper ID printed on the board to identify the jumper.
