Product Description
The GE Common DC Bus Regenerative Board DS200GSIAG1CEC contains three 40-pin connectors, two 16-pin connectors, and 6 jumpers. The board also has 1 8-pin connector and multiple test points. Whenever you service, maintain, or install boards in a drive, the servicer must be aware of some information to maintain the safety of all individuals nearby and also to avoid damage to the drive and all other devices in the area around the drive. Also, the better informed the servicer is, the faster the replacement procedure will be completed and the shorter the time the drive will be offline.
Because safety is the first consideration, inspect the floor for moisture that can conduct electricity and cause an electrical safety hazard. Also, clean the floor of oil, grease, and debris which might become a trip hazard. Inspect the electrical cords and disconnect any that are ungrounded. It is best practice to not use them around a high-voltage device such as the drive or other powerful devices in the immediate area.
Make sure the servicer knows where the emergency shut-offs are and also how to use them. In an emergency, you must act quickly to disengage the power. The servicer also must consider that working with a helper, assistant, or associate is the best practice. The assistant is there in case an emergency happens and they can shut off the power or call for help. The assistance can also help during the replacement and reduce the time needed for the drive to be offline.
