• Multi-channel input: Consisting of eight thermocouple input channels and an isolated RTD reference junction compensation channel (for terminal temperature sensing), each thermocouple/MV channel accepts standard thermocouples in various temperature ranges and provides thermocouple burn detection (boost).

• High precision: Sigma Delta data conversion on each channel provides new analog input readings every 25 milliseconds, and integration cycles can be configured to eliminate process noise and power line frequency interference for high precision measurements.

• Electrical isolation: Each input channel is electrically isolated from other channels and ground wires, and the isolation voltage is up to 600VAC, ensuring the accuracy and stability of the signal and reducing interference.

• Rugged design: Rugged extruded aluminum housing provides physical protection for the circuit and is suitable for enclosures in G3 (harsh) environments.

• Status indication: The front of the module is equipped with red and green light-emitting diodes (leds), which can display the operating status of the FBM, so that users can intuitively understand the working status of the module.

• Easy maintenance: You do not need to remove onsite device terminal cables, power cables, or communication cables when removing or replacing a module, which is convenient and reduces maintenance time and cost.

• Fieldbus communication: The fieldbus communication module or control processor is connected to the redundant 2Mbps module fieldbus used by the FBM. FBM accepts communication from either path (A or B) of the 2Mbps fieldbus, and if one path fails or switches at the system level, the module will continue to communicate through the active path, ensuring the reliability and stability of the communication.

• Flexible terminal assemblies and cables: Field I/O signals are connected to the FBM subsystem via DIN rail mounted or baseplane-mounted terminal assemblies (TA). TA is available in a variety of forms, such as compression screw type (DIN rail mounted or mounted on the base plate), ring lug type (DIN rail mounted), and the terminal cable is available in polyurethane, low smoke halogen free (LSZH) materials to meet different installation and use needs.

• Technical parameters:

• Input range: -10.5 to +69.4mV DC (A) for each channel.

• Reference cold end: A 3-wire 100Ω platinum RTD (IEC751, Class B) is provided within the terminal cable component as a reference temperature compensation for the cold end.

• Accuracy: The reference measurement accuracy of the RTD end of the MV input RTD channel is ±0.03% (±27μV) of the range, ±0.03%±0.50℃ of the range, and the differential input impedance is 10MΩ at 25℃.

• Input open circuit voltage: 2.5V DC (MV channel).

• Typical thermocouple types: B, E, J, K, N, R, S, T, and other MV signals.

• Power requirements: Input voltage range (redundancy) is 24V DC +5%, -10%; Power consumption is 3W (maximum); The heat dissipation is 3W (maximum).
