Product Description
The GE Genius Adapter Board DS200ADCIH1ADB features 4 jumpers, one 20-pin connector, and three 40-pin connectors. It is also populated with two programmable memory (PROM) modules. The PROM modules are installed in connectors on the GE Genius Adapter Board DS200ADCIH1ADB and because they are removable it makes replacing the board much easier because you don’t have to reconfigure the replacement board. All that is required is to the move the PROM modules from the old board to the replacement board.
However, the PROM modules are sensitive to static build up which can damage the modules and erase the information on them. A wrist strap can protect the PROM module from static build up because the wrist strap gives the static a path to ground provided by a unpainted metal surface attached to the strap. Always wear a wrist strap when you handle the GE Genius Adapter Board DS200ADCIH1ADB.
The board is 6 inches in length and 1.25 inches in height and it comes with one hole in each of the four corners. When you replace the old board note where in the drive rack the old board is attached and plan to attach the replacement in the same location. Use two hands to unscrew the old board. With one hand guide the end of the screwdriver to the first screw. Use the other hand to turn the screwdriver. Save all the washers and screws used to secure the old board and use them to attach the replacement.
