Product Description
The GE Generator Control Turbine Board DS200CVMAG1A contains two 16-pin connectors and one 2-pin connector. The board also is populated with 6 test points. The board comes to you in a cardboard shipping container and before you open the carton, you must inspect the box. First, make sure the box is not torn or dented because that is a sign the board inside make have been damaged also. Look also for signs that water has dripped on the box or that any other liquid has leaked on the box. You might suspect that the board was damaged if you see signs of those conditions. A label is found on the box with the model number, serial number, and other information that identifies your board. Compare it to the order documents and make sure it matches what you ordered. In this way, you’ll know if a problem exists and you can obtain the proper board you need for the replacement procedure.
The last guideline to follow when you first receive the board is to inspect the security tape that seals the box. Make sure it has not been cut or removed. This ensures that the board has not been handled and that it remains in good working order.
The plastic bag in which you receive the board is sealed to provide extra protection against dust, dirt, or other contaminants. If you are not using the board for a replacement procedure immediately, you can store the board in a safe place that is not easily accessible by others who might handle the board in a way that could damage the board.
