Product Description

The GE DOS DUP Processor Board DS200DMCBG1AGE contains three 26-pin connectors, one 40-pin connector, and 19 jumpers. The board also has a pair of LEDs. The GE DOS DUP Processor Board DS200DMCBG1AGE is also populated with one 2-pin connector, one 3-pin connector, and one 25-pin connector. Because of the potential for multiple cables being attached to the board, it is important that before you disconnect them, that you identify where they are connected on the board. It will speed up the installation of the replacement board and result in a errorless restart of the drive.

Printed on the surface of the board are letter and number identifiers for the connectors and LEDs. For example, the LEDs are identified as CR2 and CR12. Attach a note to each cable with the identifier for the connector to which it is attached. Then you can disconnect all the cables from the board.

When you are prepared to connect the cables, it is an easy task to simply locate the connector on the replacement board and connect it. Newer versions of the same model board are produced at the factory and they include the latest improvements and updates. If you plan to install a newer version, it might have the same components but they might be located in different locations on the board. You might find that a connector is depopulated from the newer version of the board. In that case, the information provided with the board will describe how to cable the board.
