Product Description
The GE I/O Expansion Board DS200IOEAG1 features five 26-pin connectors and two 40-pin connectors. The GE I/O Expansion Board DS200IOEAG1 also is populated with 3 PROM connectors identified as C6, C7, and C8. The PROM modules are used to store the configuration for the drive. The configuration is the parameters used to control the operation of the drive. When the board is received from the factory it contains a default configuration that you might find useful for your site. However, you can edit the default configuration to taylor them for the purposes of your site. There are two methods for editing the configuration.
One is to use the control panel on the drive. The control panel has a number of buttons that are used to navigate the series of menus in the user interface. Some menu items correspond to the various sections of the configuration and provide easy access to the configuration. Other menu items enable you to access the troubleshooting tools available on the drive. You can also select to upload or download files. This method of editing the configuration is most applicable to small or minor edits that the operator can make from the drive using the small display panel on the drive.
The other method is useful for major changes that you want to make to the configuration. First, obtain a serial cable that can connect to the serial port on the drive and also to a laptop. Then from the control panel select to upload the file to the laptop. Also, you must install the editing tool on the laptop.
