In engineering practice, the general input and output equipment can not be directly connected with PLC. Moreover, PLC's multiple input and output terminals share a COM terminal, and it is impossible to connect several or even a dozen wires on a terminal, so it must be connected through the terminal block.

A terminal block is usually composed of multiple terminals mounted side by side on a guide rail. The two interfaces of each terminal are shorted and can be shorted together as required.

The schematic diagram of PLC connecting with peripheral devices through terminal block is shown in Figure 1. You can also use the code echo method to mark each terminal connection.
