Product Description

Product Description

The Genius I/O Adapter Board DS200ADPBG1ABB features one block of 8 switches for configuring the board. The Genius I/O Adapter Board DS200ADPBG1ABB also is populated with one 40-pin connector and one 26-pin connector.  The Genius I/O Adapter Board DS200ADPBG1ABB also is populated with jumpers that can be used to help taylor the board to the requirements of the site. Some of the jumpers have only one supported position that is set at the factory. The jumper is used by the factory for testing only and once the testing is complete, the jumper is moved to the one supported position. Other jumpers can be moved to configure the board.

The written documentation that came with the original board explains the jumpers and defines how moving the jumpers changes the behavior of the board.

However, when you are replacing the board in the drive, consider that you only need to match the jumper positions on the old board on the new board. Remove the old board and place it on a flattened static protective bag on a flat surface, for example a work bench or a desk. You must wear a wrist strap because it gives a route for the static to drain from your body and the board to the metal grounded surface.

Remove the replacement board from the bag and place it next to the old board. The jumpers all have identifiers that begin with JP. For example, JP1, JP2, and JP3. Move the JP1 jumper on the replacement board to match the position on the defective board.
