GE Mark V Speedtronic Snubber PCB

Product Description

The DS200IAXSG1AAA is an IGBT AA/AB snubber board.  It is used as a multi-input and output board within GE’s Mark V turbine control system.   The MKV was one of the first Speedtronic systems that could be configured as either a single-channel Simplex system or as a more complex triple-redundant TMR system with two additional controllers for two out of three voting. 

The DS200IAXSG1AAA functions as an IGBT (insulated-gate bipolar transistor) snubber board.   It has three 8-pin connectors.  Additionally, the board has many turn screws that can be used to vary voltage output.  Turn screws are labeled by single and dual letter descriptors  Adjustments can be made using a screwdriver.  Screws connect to a metal component located on the bottom surface of the board. 

Other board components include WIMA FKP polypropylene film and foil capacitors and stab on-connectors.  These capacitors are designed for pulse duty construction and have a very low dissipation factor.  Datasheets for these capacitors can typically be sourced from the internet.
