GE Mark V Speedtronic Snubber Board

Product Description

The DS200IAXSG1ABB printed circuit board functions as an IGBT AA/AB snubber card.   This is a multi-input and multi-output card that fits into GE’s Mark V Speedtronic turbine control system. 

The DS200IAXSG1ABB board is used within the Mark V system as an insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) snubber board.   The board is built with three 8-pin connectors on its surface along with several turn screws.  These turn screws are used to vary voltage output by adjusting their depth settings using a screwdriver.  Each turn screw is labeled by a single or dual letter descriptor on the board’s surface.  Screws connect to a metal carrier located on the bottom surface of the board. 

The rest of the board is populated by different capacitors and diodes.  Two capacitors are film and foil WIMA FKP capacitors.  Capacitors made like this are designed for very low pulse dissipation and are designed for pulse duty applications.   Datasheets for these two capacitors can be sourced from the internet and will provide you with a more detailed look at their use and limitations.
